Sub-processors
We use a small number of service providers to operate KnowlyBot, each processing customer data only as needed to provide the service: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, and email — US); Pinecone (search-index storage — US); Anthropic (answer generation via the Claude API — inputs and outputs are not used to train models, per Anthropic's commercial terms); Stripe (payment processing — card data never touches KnowlyBot systems); Slack (message delivery); Microsoft (Graph API, only if you enable the optional Teams Meetings add-on, for meeting transcripts). We do not sell customer data or share it with any other third party.
Data sources you connect
Confluence, Jira, and optionally Microsoft Teams are your systems, accessed read-only with credentials you provide. We send them nothing beyond the read requests needed to index your content.
AI data handling
Answers are generated by the Anthropic Claude API, processed in the United States, as is all other storage and processing (AWS us-east-1). Each workspace's content is indexed in a dedicated namespace, and the model only sees context from the requesting workspace. KnowlyBot stores no model inputs or outputs — each question is stateless and answers persist only in Slack. Operational logs are retained for 30 days.
Data deletion
Workspace admins can request deletion by emailing support@knowlybot.com from their registered admin address. After verifying the requester, we permanently delete all workspace data — indexed content, connector credentials, and account records — within 30 days (typically within 5 business days) and confirm by email. Uninstalling the Slack app revokes KnowlyBot's access immediately. Stripe retains payment records as required for financial compliance.
